Ushio’s Infrared (IR) department is preparing to make the journey to Friedrichshafen, Germany for the 27th Fakuma international trade fair. The much-anticipated plastics processing event takes place from 12–16 October 2021. Led by Sales Director for IR & UV, Thomas Haider, Ushio will be turning up the heat on the competition with an extensive collection of infrared lamps.
The main offerings from Ushio, located at booth A2-2110, will include heat sources for drying systems, surface pre-treatment, heating elements, rapid heat treatment, and surface finishing technologies. In addition to IR solutions for blow moulding, extrusion technology, thermoforming and 3D printing, the industry highlight will also focus above all on the digital transformation and sustainable plastics processing with efficient production.

As part of the IR Application Laboratory package, Ushio’s clients benefit from the expert guidance and consultation of a dedicated technical team who possess an unrivalled knowledge of IR heating radiation and IR process technology.
As a platform for collaboration, joint investigation, and analysis of IR processes, the IR Lab simulates various setups that allow the reproduction of production environments. This allows the realisation of extensive experiments that would otherwise be difficult or costly to carry out at the client’s own production site.
