The Federation Nationale des Cinemas Français descends on Deauville for FNCF 2019
It is time once again to raise those Champagne glasses to the Côte Fleurie, as Ushio Europe confirms its attendance at the 74th Congrès de la Federation Nationale des Cinemas Français (FNCF). Taking place in Deauville, France, the FNCF 2019 annual meeting will play host to the luminaries of the French cinema collective from 24-26 September. The FNCF was established in 1945, and this influential organisation represents almost all 5,800 French cinemas in an open dialogue with the public authorities for entertainment, as well as other professional organisations such as distributors and television channels. Their influence does not stop there, as the federation is also a key member of BLIC (Le Bureau de Liaison des Industries Cinématographiques) representing the cinema portion of the industry, and UNIC (International Union of Cinemas). Last year’s 73rd edition of the event coincided with the 30th anniversary of Ushio France where our booth, thanks to our French team, led by Sales Manager Pierre-Olivier Bancal, became a huge celebration of French cinematic endeavour and led to a flow of Champagne reminiscent of the Gavarnie Falls!
Anne Fontaine amongst those honoured at Congrès de la FNCF 2019
Amongst the luminaries in attendance will be Anne Fontaine, the award-winning director and screenwriter of over a dozen films. With six César Merit Award nominations in a directorial career that stretches back to 1993, it is no surprise that she has been selected for a special tribute due to take place during the Gala evening on the penultimate evening of the annual FNCF event.

Ushio celebrates cinema with extended warranty, lifetime, and lumens at FNCF 2019

There is no sign of stopping either, as Ushio has already received authentication for BARCO and NEC projectors, and continues to develop the range to eventually support all major projector brands.
