Anti-Reflection (AR) coated laser diode (LD) products are fabricated with a designed reflectance of <0.1% on the front facet, utilizing Ushio's unique design and advanced film deposition technology.
Unlike conventional coated Fabry-Perot LDs, our LDs feature a wide gain bandwidth, making them ideal for external cavity wavelength tunable lasers. When combined with diffraction gratings and interference filters, they enable laser oscillations in specific wavelength modes with narrow linewidths. These LDs are widely used in quantum technology applications, such as optical lattice clocks, laser cooling, and spectroscopy.
We offer three wavelengths for quantum technology: 671 nm, 689 nm, and 698 nm. Ushio's chips provide a highly reliable optical output power of 200 mW and operate at high temperatures up to 75°C. The gain peak, spanning over 10 nm, can be precisely tuned via temperature control.
